Job Title: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab - Contract - MSH
Location: Heart Hospital - Mount Sinai Hospital
Contract Length: 3x12 schedule
Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. The role involves delivering patient care through the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care, utilizing the nursing process, evidence-based practices, and approved organizational standards. The nurse collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, educates patients and caregivers, and ensures quality and safety in patient care.
Required Qualifications:
• NYS RN License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• 2 years of cardiology, telemetry, or procedural experience
• 1 year of travel experience (required for travel positions, not for per diem)
Preferred Qualifications:
• EPIC experience
• Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred
• Associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN Program
Additional Information:
The RN will perform charge nurse duties as assigned, coordinate with clinical leadership to ensure adequate resources, and document patient care accurately in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. The role also involves contributing to quality improvement initiatives, engaging in professional development, and participating in shared decision-making processes within the nursing department.
