Job Summary and Qualifications 

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit, you will provide leadership which facilities the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

· You will oversee the delivery of patient care for a group of patients and direct patient are based on patient acuity and staff availability.

· You will provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care processes indicated to adhere to legal, ethical and competency level of staff.

· You will collaborate and consult with patients, colleagues and interdisciplinary team members to achieve desired outcomes.

    · You will provide education for self, staff, colleagues, patients and/or families.

     

    What qualifications you will need: 

    • Required Education: Associates Degree of Science in Nursing
    • Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree or Masters in Nursing.
    • Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON
    • Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider
    • Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty 
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
