Outpatient Registered Nurse Job Details

• Schedule: Per diem coverage with core hours between 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Typical Shift: Most shifts are 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
• Coverage Area: Must be able to commute to practices in Philadelphia and/or Chester County

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required, preferably in an outpatient, ambulatory care, or physician office setting
• Strong clinical assessment, patient care, and care coordination skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different practice environments, patient volumes, and workflows
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute throughout the coverage area
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care

Outpatient Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in outpatient clinic and ambulatory practice settings
• Support clinical operations on an as-needed basis at assigned outpatient practices throughout Philadelphia and Chester County
• Perform patient assessments, documentation, and care coordination
• Assist with procedures, treatments, triage support, and patient flow as needed
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and office staff to ensure efficient care delivery
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold clinical and regulatory standards
• Promote a positive patient experience through compassionate, timely, and professional care
