Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; day shift 1:6 ratio, night shift 1:7 ratio

• 44-bed general surgery unit specializing in urology and bowel procedures
• Fast-paced telemetry environment with diverse surgical case mix including cholecystectomies, appendectomies, bowel resections, urology surgeries, and more
• Cerner EMR system; equipment includes telemetry monitors, PCA pumps, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, and tube feeding systems
• Work at a Magnet-designated facility recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals and awarded Leapfrog 'A' Hospital Safety Grade
• Floating limited to other medical-surgical areas within the system
• Collaborative team environment with charge nurse, CNAs, unit secretaries, and multidisciplinary providers

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license (or compact state license)
• BLS certification required
• Telemetry competency required
• Ability to manage 6-7 patients per shift
• Experience with urology and bowel patient populations strongly preferred
• Proficiency with drains, ostomy care, PCA pumps, wound vacs, tube feeds, heparin drips, and IV therapies
