Job Opportunity – Pediatric Operating Room Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: Flexible start dates available: May 11, 2026, May 18, 2026, or June 1, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Full-time operating room schedule with on-call requirements: 1 weekend every 6-8 weeks, 1 weeknight per week (Monday-Thursday), and holiday coverage as operationally needed. Orientation is approximately 32 hours.

• Specialized pediatric OR experience in a Magnet-designated comprehensive children's hospital
• Work with a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center serving patients across the region
• Epic electronic medical records system
• Diverse case mix including ambulatory OR, pediatric general surgery, ENT, orthopedics, and trauma procedures
• Interdisciplinary support from Respiratory Services and Pharmacy
• Up to two weeks of pre-approved time off available during assignment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care pediatric OR experience within the last 3 years (required)
• Pediatric OR, ambulatory OR, and pediatric trauma experience required
• Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license (must be in hand at time of application)
• BLS certification – American Heart Association only (required)
• PALS certification (preferred)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Candidates must pass telemetry competency exam with strict criteria prior to start
• Interview availability required – candidates must provide three available interview times with time zone
