Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical
Location: Utica, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Unit: Medical/Surgical (6th Floor)
- Floating required
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
- Patient population: Adults
- Common patient diagnoses include post-surgical care for abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery)
- Specialty equipment used: IV pumps, nasogastric (N/G) tubes, feeding tubes
- Scrub color: Navy blue
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
- Prior travel experience required
- Active New York RN license with all licenses verified and included at submission
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
