Job Description:

The Travel RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing advanced nursing care to patients. The RN will be expected to work collaboratively with a team to report and monitor patient progress and maintain all aspects of patient care while managing patient loads according to the unit’s specified ratios.

Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
• Assist healthcare providers with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertion and intubations.
• Conduct mandatory bedside shift reports and participate in nurse leader rounding.

Requirements:

• Medical ICU experience in a large facility, with expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
• Must be a critical thinker, flexible, and capable of collaborating effectively with others.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Experience with critical care pharmacology including IV sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors.
