Job Opportunity: RN - Rehab (Travel)
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Position Overview
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Rehabilitation
- Facility Type: Acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital with 49 beds
- Shift: 12-hour shifts
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend required
- Call Requirements: None
- Patient Ratio: 1:7
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) nursing
- Must have at least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience
- Minimum 13 weeks of EPIC electronic health record experience
- Experience in acute inpatient rehab or acute rehab hospital settings
- Skilled nursing experience alone is not accepted unless accompanied by 2 years of IRF or Med Surg experience
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Patient Population & Common Diagnoses
- Patient types include those recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions requiring inpatient rehabilitation
- Common diagnoses and treatments include:
- Hypertension
- Blood glucose monitoring and insulin protocols
- Feeding tube care and swallowing precautions (thickened liquids)
- Foley catheter care
- Care of ports and PICC lines
- Starting IVs
- Care for CVA (stroke), Parkinson’s disease, post-craniotomy, spinal injury, brain injury, joint replacement
- Supplemental oxygen delivery
- Isolation precautions
- Ulcer and wound care
Preferred Skills
- Trauma II experience preferred

- Dress Code: Scrubs and sneakers; scrub color is flexible
