Job Opportunity: RN - Rehab (Travel)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Rehabilitation
• Employment Type: Travel
• Shift: 12-hour shifts
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend required
• Call Requirements: None
• Dress Code: Scrubs and sneakers (any scrub color acceptable)

Facility & Unit Information

• Unit Type: Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation
• Number of Beds: 49
• Patient Ratio: 1:7
• Patient Population: Adults requiring inpatient rehabilitative services
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments:

  • Hypertension
  • Blood glucose monitoring and insulin protocols
  • Feeding tube care, swallowing precautions, thickened liquids
  • Foley catheter care
  • Care of ports, PICC lines, starting IVs
  • Stroke (CVA), Parkinson’s disease, post-craniotomy care
  • Spinal and brain injuries
  • Joint replacement recovery
  • Supplemental oxygen delivery
  • Isolation precautions
  • Ulcer and wound care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) nursing
• Must have at least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience
• Minimum 13 weeks of EPIC electronic health record experience
• BLS certification required
• Acute inpatient rehab or acute rehab hospital experience required
• Skilled nursing experience alone is not accepted unless accompanied by 2 years of IRF or Med Surg experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma II experience
