Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – MS/Tele (Night Shift)
Location
- Chesapeake, Virginia (Coastal Virginia area near Virginia Beach and Norfolk)
Employment Type
- Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift Details
- Night shift: 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Overtime after 48 hours
- Option for 3x12 shifts available (indicate preference)
Unit and Patient Population
- Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit with Neurology/Stroke focus
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 7 patients
- Must have experience working with neurology and stroke patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
- Neurology and stroke experience
- One completed travel assignment
- Certifications:
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
