Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) - Travel/Contract
Location: San Francisco, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide care for patients with liver, kidney, and pancreatic diseases, including transplant recipients of these organs.
- Manage patients with complex gastrointestinal disorders.
- Work on a med-surg/telemetry overflow unit.
- Floating to other units as needed.
Shift Details
- Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required
- Total hours per week: 36
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Transplant experience

Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening

- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)
- Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
- Work history verification required for up to 7 years; gaps over 30 days must be explained
- References: 2 professional references required within 3 years for clinical positions
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, cleared for work
- Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
- TB screening: Negative test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Immunizations or titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
- Color vision exam if applicable (in-person exam only)
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually
Competency and Testing
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Unit-specific skills checklist required, renewed annually
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam may be required for telemetry units
- ICU and med-surg/telemetry RNs at this location must pass an onsite EKG exam after start
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Candidate must review and sign facility policies including standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and regulatory orientation prior to start
- TB questionnaire signed by candidate and healthcare provider (MD, PA, NP/APN, DO, or RN) required within 90 days of start
- Pending background check attestation not accepted; no conditional clearances allowed at this facility
- Religious exemption forms required for facial hair (PAPR) or vaccine exemptions, subject to approval
