Description
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry
Location: Martinsville, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility & Unit Overview
- Acute Care unit with 41 beds
- Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients
- Patient ratio: 6:1
- Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
- Common diagnoses/treatments: Heart failure, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hip and knee replacements
- Float requirement: May be floated to other departments caring for the same patient population
- Weekend hours: Every other weekend
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Orientation & Additional Information
- Orientation sessions held bi-weekly on Tuesdays
- No call requirements
- Dress code: Scrub color is flexible; no unacceptable attire specified
- Personality fit: Patient-oriented and team player
