RN - L&D - Registry
Location
- Moreno Valley, California
Schedule
- Nights, 7pm–7:30am
- 12-hour shifts
- 12 hours per week

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
- 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience in an acute care setting
Key Responsibilities
- Reassess patient needs and update the plan of care
- Administer medications and evaluate treatment effectiveness
- Perform treatments and procedures using appropriate nursing practice, sterile technique, standard precautions, and patient privacy
- Document care, patient education, and progress toward goals
- Educate patients and families using approved materials when appropriate
- Interpret diagnostic data and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
- Use SBAR for handoffs
- Participate in multidisciplinary care planning
- Manage labor and immediate newborn care
- Assess fetal status, review fetal monitor strips, and apply fetal monitoring equipment
- Assist with placement of UIPC and fetal scalp electrode
- Recognize and respond to fetal distress and magnesium sulfate complications
- Follow infection control, blood transfusion, safety, disaster, and chain-of-command policies
