Unit Information: D2 (Mission Main Campus, 2nd Floor, D Corridor)
- Unit Type: Inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care (medical-surgical and/or step-down patients)
- Number of Beds: 20
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 or 1:6 (stretch, depending on level of care)
- Patient Population: Short stay patients (<24 hour length of stay) with quick turnover
- Equipment: Telemetry (all telemetry patients hardwired to bedside monitors)
- EMR System: Cerner
Required Skills and Experience
- Must Have:
- Telemetry competency
- Progressive Care experience
- Preferred:
- Recent progressive care experience
Typical Procedures
- Care for medical-surgical and step-down patients with telemetry monitoring
- Management of short stay patients with quick turnover

- BLS (Basic Life Support)

Additional Information
- Floating: Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed
- Dress Code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, or all white scrubs
- Schedule: Every other weekend required, no on-call required
