Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Oakland, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Tuesday through Saturday
• Must float to Ashby campus (3 miles away) for 1 shift per week

Required Certifications

• CT Certification
• AART (American Association of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CA CRT (California Certified Radiologic Technologist)

Background Check Requirements

• 7-year background check within 6 months of start, including:

  • Social Security trace with all aliases
  • County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
  • Nationwide sex offender search (within 90 days of start)
  • Education verification (highest level achieved, not required if high school)
  • FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC sanctions list (as applicable)
• International education verification if applicable
• Motor Vehicle Report if driving position (not applicable here)
• Annual background check required by Aya Healthcare

Certifications Verification

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or ARC only (verify by position)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AHA/AAP only (Instructor or Advanced Provider Course)
• CCRN (Critical Care RN) - verify by position
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - valid for 4 years
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - typically for Labor & Delivery
• Tech Certification (National) - required within 30 days of start
• State License Verification - primary source online verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 30 days of start
• IV Certification (if applicable)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) - verify by position
• NIH Stroke Certification - verify by position
• Miscellaneous certifications as applicable (e.g., Nuchal Translucency for Maternal-Fetal Ultrasound Techs)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - verify by position

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)

• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (may be required for some Tele units)

Health Documents Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must state "cleared for work")
• Fit Mask Test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years or lifetime with booster
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (series or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or signed declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30)
• Color Blind Exam (in-person, if applicable)
• Respiratory Safety Clearance (not required for some roles)

Employment History and References

• Full 7 years of work history required on application (including city/state, no gaps)
• Employment verification for up to 7 years required
• Professional references required by Aya Healthcare (not by facility)

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be prepared to comply with all background checks, certifications, competencies, health screenings, and facility-specific documentation prior to start.
• Floating to a nearby campus once per week is required.
