Position Overview

Seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct and indirect patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The role involves developing nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff, communicating clinical changes, and participating in discharge planning.

Work Details

• Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Schedule: No block schedule
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: No call
• Float Requirements: Yes
• Patient Population: Geriatric, pediatric (ages 5-17), and adult patients
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:8 (lower ratios for geriatric and pediatric units)
• Unit Beds: 104 beds across five units (adult, child, geriatric)
• Common Diagnoses: Schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, anxiety
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner
• Dress Code: Blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience in inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health nursing (higher experience requirement supersedes any lower stated)
• Associate degree in Nursing or higher (BSN preferred)
• Experience working with both adult and pediatric behavioral health populations
• Must be willing to float between units

Additional Notes

• No prior travel experience required
• Role involves working with diverse behavioral health diagnoses and patient age groups
• Supervisory support available from shift supervisors only

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
