Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: 5 West Medicine
- Number of Beds: 36
- Number of Staff: 50+
- Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC, 1-2 sitters
- Day Shift RN Ratio: 1:5-6
- Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 0.5 HUC, 1-2 sitters
- Night Shift RN Ratio: 1:6-7
- Equipment: Medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), VC150’s in every patient room, workstation on wheels for every staff member, Tap and Go for computer/documentation access
- EMR System: Cerner
Job Description
- Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Prepare patients for Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology (IR), and Operating Room (OR) procedures
- Hard-working and compassionate personality preferred
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Additional Information
- Floating Areas: Med-Surg units (3W, 5W, K8)
- Dress Code: Navy blue top and bottom, white top with navy blue bottom, or all white scrubs
- Weekend Requirement: Must sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday count as weekend shifts on night shift)
