Registered Nurse (Telemetry) - Travel Assignment

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Neurosciences (36 beds)
Staff: 40 total
Shifts:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 HUC
Patient Ratios:
- Day Shift: 5:1 (standard), 6:1 (stretch)
- Night Shift: 7:1 (stretch)
Equipment: Standard Medical-Surgical Equipment
EMR System: Cerner

Required Certifications

ACLS
NIH Certification
BLS

Licensure

Registered Nurse (RN) License required

Experience

Minimum 2+ years of experience as an RN in Telemetry or related specialty

Skills & Preferences

Must have:
- NIH Certification
- ACLS Certification
Preferred:
- Neuro experience

Typical Procedures Performed

Foley catheter insertion
IV starts

Work Environment & Culture

Floating to other medical-surgical floors may be required
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend required
Personality Fit: Outgoing, self-motivated

Additional Information

New staff receive a reference book at the start of the contract
No indication that prior travel experience is required for this role

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience
At least 1 year of Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
