Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical

Location: Watertown, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (7 PM - 7 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Schedule Requirements:

• 12-hour shifts
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call required
• Must be comfortable floating to Medical/Surgical and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Required Qualifications

• Current New York RN license
• Coronary Care experience required
• Minimum 1 year of prior travel nursing experience (must have completed at least one successful travel assignment)
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire
• Previous hospital RN experience preferred

Job Responsibilities & Skills

• Provide quality patient care with thorough knowledge of nursing principles
• Assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects
• Recognize safety issues for self and others; safely use lifts and move patients
• Function effectively in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation abilities
• May be required to assume charge nurse duties
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal)

Additional Information

• Must comply with a 100-mile radius rule for RN travel
• Night shift hours are from 7 PM to 7 AM
