Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Travel Position

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Call Requirements: Weeknight and weekend call required
Float Requirements: Yes

• Department: Operating Room and Supplies
• Trauma Level: Level 3
• Equipment: Robotics, various microscopes, laser, specialty OR tables/beds, navigation system for craniotomy, DaVinci surgical system
• Electronic Health Records (EHR): EPIC & Omnicell

Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

• Patient types: General OR cases including Trauma, Bariatrics, Vascular, ENT, Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics
• Common diagnoses/treatments: General surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gynecology, Bariatrics, ENT, Vascular, Robotics-assisted procedures

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Experience in Bariatric, Vascular Surgery, ENT Surgery, OB/GYN, Neurology, and Orthopedics
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotic surgery
