Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Travel Position

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel

Job Overview

• Work primarily in the Operating Room (OR) department.
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• Call requirements include weeknight and weekend call.
• Float requirements apply (may be asked to work in other units).
• Facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 190 beds, providing a range of specialty services including trauma, cardiovascular, cancer, orthopedic, women’s and children’s health, and primary care.
• The OR is equipped with advanced technology such as robotics, microscopes, lasers, DaVinci surgical system, and navigation systems for craniotomy.
• Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems used: EPIC and Omnicell.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Trauma experience
• Bariatric experience
• ENT Surgery experience
• OB/GYN experience
• Neurology experience
• Orthopedic Surgery experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Scrub color provided (navy blue).
• The hospital is a teaching facility accredited by the Joint Commission.
• Located in a city with access to cultural activities and outdoor recreation including skiing, fishing, hiking, and kayaking.

• Candidates should be comfortable with a fast-paced OR setting and flexible with call and float duties.
