CT Technologist
Location
- New York, New York
Contract
- 9 weeks
- Part-time
- Sunday shift, 12:00 AM–4:00 PM
- 14 hours per day
- 14 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New York
- CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (CT)
- BLS
- Injection certification
Job Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques
- Complete daily quality control calibration checks on equipment
- Inject patients with radioactive material per physician order and prescribed protocol
- Follow documentation policies, including logs, manuals, charge documents, and equipment problem reporting
- Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles
- Maintain and retrieve patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation
- Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1 day before use
- Receive radiopharmaceuticals on delivery day and verify proper receipt and activity level before administration
Additional Notes
- May also be required to perform x-ray work during overnight shifts
