Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across multiple unit types including Cardiovascular Telemetry, Neuro Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical floors, with floating required between units and campuses as needed
- Titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Dobutamine, and Cardizem per unit protocol
- Interpret EKGs and monitor patients via centralized telemetry systems
- Care for a diverse patient population including post-cath lab, post-vascular procedures, post-CABG, neuro post-surgical, CVA post-TPA, and general medical-surgical patients including orthopedic, oncology, and surgical cases
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4 on Telemetry and Neuro units and 1:4 on Medical-Surgical units
- Participate in every-other-weekend requirements and holiday rotation as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license with eligibility to practice in Arizona
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required for Neuro Telemetry unit assignments
- Demonstrated ability to titrate cardiac drips independently
- Ability to interpret EKGs and manage telemetry monitoring
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract start (maximum of 2 attempts within 48 hours of offer) and a Simulation Lab evaluation on the first day of orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in Telemetry, Neuro, or Medical-Surgical settings
- Experience with post-surgical orthopedic, oncology, or cardiac patient populations
- Familiarity with GE telemetry monitoring systems and Spectralink phone systems
- Comfort with floating to varying acuity levels including ICU, Cardiac Tele, MedSurg, and observation or holding areas
