Travel Inpatient Hemodialysis RN

Location: University Hospital | Madison, WI 

Shift: 3x12-Hour Day (08:30 - 20:30) 

Start Dates: 6/8, or 6/22/2026 

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of acute care inpatient dialysis experience (Level 1 Trauma preferred).
• Clinical Skills: Experience with both adult and pediatric populations is required.
• Licensure: WI RN or compact license in hand.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA ONLY).
• Systems: Epic charting experience required.
• Testing: Must pass a Telemetry/Cardiac Rhythm exam prior to start (100% on lethal rhythms required).

Unit Details & Responsibilities

• Patient Ratios: 1:2 (Days/Weekends), 1:1 (Nights).
• Equipment: Fresenius IHD, Baxter, and CRRT-Nxstage.
• Case Mix: AKI, ESRD, transplant, and trauma patients. Management of heparin, insulin, and cardiac drips is expected.
• Floating: Required to East Madison Hospital as needed.
• On-Call: assigned as needed (typically not exceeding 3 shifts per 6 weeks).

Compliance & Logistics

• RTO: Maximum 2 weeks (Manager review required).
• Orientation: One week of paid orientation.
• Vaccines: Flu vaccine required (Medical/Religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required.
