Variable shifts, 10 hours per shift, 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of experience
- BLS certification
- ARDMS registration
- High school diploma or GED
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations under physician direction
- Verify patient identity and orders before exams
- Prepare patients, provide education, and address concerns
- Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
- Follow department protocols, infection control, and sterile techniques
- Maintain documentation and accurate patient records
- Operate equipment and related information systems
- Assist students and other radiology technologists with protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment
- Perform vascular procedures
- Respond to emergency situations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to see and read information and labels
- Ability to communicate clearly and understand spoken information quickly
- Manual dexterity for complex equipment
- Ability to use computers and type for documentation
- Ability to lift, bend, and carry supplies and equipment
- Ability to walk and assist with patient transport or ambulation
- Ability to push and pull equipment
- Ability to work in crowded and busy environments
- Ability to stand for extended periods
