Facility & Unit Overview

24-bed unit specializing in Neuro, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics
Patient population includes all ages over 28 days
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
Trauma Level 2 facility
Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Paragon (transitioning to Cerner on 3/1/24)
Shift: Night shift
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: 3 weekends every 6 weeks
No call requirements
Float required to inpatient units

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working with adult patients
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Experience

At least 2 years of pediatric nursing experience
Experience with trauma and post-operative orthopedic/neurosurgical patients
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Additional Information

Dress code: Galaxy Blue scrubs; refer to employer dress code policy for unacceptable attire
Personality fit: Teamwork and collaboration emphasized
Float assignments include various inpatient units

Note: Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status.
