Job Details

• Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift: Days, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours per week: 40

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience to scrub and circulate
• Expert level (3+ years) experience with Orthopedic Spine, Tobots, and Trauma patients
• Must have experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Required Certifications and Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of New Jersey
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National certification in Operating Room specialty preferred

On-Call and Weekend Requirements

• One weekend on-call per month, totaling 36 hours (24 hours on Saturday, 12 hours on Sunday)

Orientation and Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination
• Orientation includes virtual welcome meeting, online HealthStream modules, in-person classes (typically Tuesday-Thursday), and unit-based orientation scheduled by manager
• Must attend a Point of Care Testing (POCT) class outside orientation week
• Badge ID appointment required during orientation; photo submissions not accepted; badge needed for clock-ins

Additional Requirements and Compliance

• Must comply with background checks, drug screening, educational and employment verification, immunizations (COVID-19, Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, TdaP, Varicella), and other standard healthcare screenings and attestations
