Job Opportunity: Oncology Chemo Certified Registered Nurse
Location
- City: Lacey, Washington
Employment Type
- Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 5 days a week
- Day shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
- Start times typically between 7:15 AM and 7:45 AM
- No holidays or weekend shifts
- Shifts may vary; work until last patient is seen
Job Description
- Outpatient Infusion/Oncology RN role
- Patient population includes:
- Oncology patients receiving chemotherapy/immunotherapy
- Hematology patients
- Non-oncology infusions (rheumatology, GI, neurology, pulmonology)
- Approximately 85% hematology/oncology and 15% non-oncology infusions
- Experience with infusion center, outpatient oncology preferred (inpatient oncology experience may be considered)
- Skills in IM subcutaneous injections and therapeutic phlebotomy required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
- Minimum 1 year of oncology experience, with oncology experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Chemotherapy certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in an outpatient setting
- Experience with intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous injections
- Therapeutic phlebotomy experience
- Infusion experience
