Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Naples, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) with on-call duties
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide patient care in the Operating Room as part of the surgical team, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR technicians.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering care.
• Responsibilities include ensuring supplies are available, managing case timeliness, communicating with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting during surgeries, and supervising personnel delivering patient care.
• Must be able to float between campuses as needed.
• Work according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, physician orders, and hospital policies.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Cerner (experience required).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, ENT Surgery, and Urology
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record system

Additional Information

• This is a travel assignment with an immediate start date.
• The position includes on-call responsibilities.
• Floating between different campuses is expected.
