Assignment Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• Nights
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Holidays rotate with permanent staff
• No call or standby

Unit Details

• 14-bed mixed ICU
• Patient ratios: 1:1-2, with overflow up to 1:3-4
• Floating may include Med Surg or ER in a helping-hands role
• Nurses must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• RN titration of drips is required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

• Previous travel experience

Additional Information

• Navy scrubs
• 2-3 days of unit orientation, plus orientation on any floated units
