• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 3 x 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend
• No call

Unit Details

• NICU with 6 beds
• Typical patient ratio: 3:1
• May float as needed to nursery / newborn nursery

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
• BLS
• NRP
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Experience

• Care for infants requiring CPAP or ventilation
• Central line experience
• Stabilization experience / attending deliveries
• Developmental care

Procedures Performed

• Assist with line placement
• Assist with circumcision
• Assist with intubation

Patient Care Focus

• Family-centered care

Dress Code

• Royal blue medical scrubs
• Clean, natural nails only; no polish, artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails
• Hair must be neat and clean; shoulder-length or longer hair must be pulled back when working in the lab
• Visible piercings other than ears are not allowed
• No perfumes or lotions
