Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the past 6 months
• Strong cardiac telemetry background
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips
• Must be able to titrate and decrease cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer, with up to 2 attempts
• Must pass a simulation lab on day 1 of orientation

Schedule

• Self-scheduling may be available, but it can change
• 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
• Rotating holidays
• No call required

Unit Details

• Primary patient population is ED holds waiting for placement, mainly medical-surgical/telemetry patients
• No monitor tech on the unit
• ED patient support may include vitals, IV starts, and medication administration
• Not assigned as the primary RN for ED patient assignments

Floating

• May float to medical-surgical/telemetry/overflow units and other EDs as needed

Orientation

• 2 shifts on medical-surgical/telemetry at the primary campus

Dress Code

• Navy scrubs
