Role Summary

Provides direct patient care as a registered nurse and also coordinates, supervises, and delegates care activities for other caregivers.
May serve as charge nurse, including managing assignments, admits, discharges, transfers, break coverage, and unit problem-solving.

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Washington
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) at the Healthcare Provider level within 30 days of hire
ACLS certification within 6 months of hire, renewed every 2 years
PALS or PEARS certification within 6 months of hire, renewed every 2 years

Preferred Qualifications

CPAN certification

PACU-Specific Requirements

ACLS certification within 6 months of hire, renewed every 2 years
PALS or PEARS certification within 6 months of hire, renewed every 2 years

Additional Expectations

Complete 4 hours of orientation training
Complete 4 hours of annual training
Follow the pathway for total joint replacement based on area of specialty
May cancel up to two shifts per month or up to six shifts within any 13-week assignment
