Required Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Massachusetts
• Speech Language Pathologist (3 years of experience)
• Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
• Certificate of Clinical Competence
• Master's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility

Role Summary

• Provides Speech Language Pathology services to help residents maximize function and independence
• Evaluates and treats communication disorders and dysphagia, including modified barium swallow
• Establishes and updates therapeutic plans of care, documents care, and coordinates with the care team
• Supports Speech and Language coverage and assists with program development, in-services, and routine department operations

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to perform tasks involving sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; lifting above 50 pounds requires a 2-person lift
• Frequent lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds
