Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Smyrna, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Overview

ICU with 16 beds
Patient ratio: 2:1
Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and tech support
Equipment used: GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispenser, Drager ventilators
Documentation system: Meditech
Scheduling: Every other weekend required
Floating: In rotation with full-time staff and other travelers
Patient experience expectations: AIDET communication, use of communication board, medication teaching

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS certification
ACLS certification

Advanced Skills & Procedures

Ventilator and sedation management
Medication titration
Procedures performed on unit include tracheostomy placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion

Additional Information

Trauma Level III certified hospital
Dress code: Charcoal gray scrubs required
Floating policy involves rotation with full-time staff and travelers
Opportunity to work with experienced staff and advanced technology
