Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Type: Orthopedics/Spine
Number of Beds: 26
Patient Ratio: 6:1
Staffing Support: Unit secretaries, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Navigator
Equipment Used: Coolers, walkers, Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs), Continuous Passive Motion machines (CPMs)
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: Requires 4 weekend shifts per schedule
Floating Policy: Rotation
Patient Experience Goal: 72% satisfaction
Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Job Responsibilities & Procedures

Strong orthopedic background required
Procedures commonly performed: Knee and hip replacements, multi-level spine surgeries

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, including within the last year
Orthopedics experience
BLS certification
NIHSS certification
American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Multi State Cert) (ABCP)
