Critical Care Float
Location
- Newark, New Jersey
Job Type
- Travel/Contract
- 13 weeks
Shift
- Night shift
- 3x12 hours
- 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Schedule
- Every other weekend
Unit Coverage / Floating
- Float within skill set as needed to ICU, CCU, CTICU, and Step Down
- May also float to holding areas, including the ED for admitted ICU patients awaiting a bed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- Critical Care Float (1.5 years of experience)
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1.5 or more years of acute care experience related to the position
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- CCU - Coronary Care experience
- CTICU - Cardiothoracic Intensive Care experience
- Stepdown experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Swan Ganz catheters
- Exposure to IABP, Impella, and VAD devices
- Previous CTICU or medical cardiology experience
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Navy blue scrubs required
