Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Edison, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Summary

Provide and administer all aspects of respiratory care therapy and supportive equipment under medical direction and supervision. Responsibilities include:

Deliver respiratory therapy for patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies.
Assist with intubation and manage ventilator set-up and operation.
Evaluate patient needs through gathering information, disease education, testing, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Educate patients and caregivers based on identified needs in an understandable manner.
Foster positive relationships with patients, caregivers, and team members to support care goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical requirements: lift, push, and pull a minimum of 5 lbs.; stand for at least 1 hour daily.
Regular contact with medical personnel and visitors.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
High school diploma or equivalent
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
