Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Schedule / Unit Details

• Med Surg staffing ratio: 1:5-6 on days, 1:6-7 on nights

Assignment Notes

• RTO allowed: up to 7 days total and only one holiday
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• Local candidates are paid at a lower local rate

• Rubella immunity documentation
• Hepatitis B documentation
• Varicella immunity documentation
• 9-panel drug screen
• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• Pneumonia vaccination or declination
• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Skills checklist, updated annually

Additional Notes

• NIH Stroke Certification is required for travelers located in ICU, PCU, ER, CT ICU, and the 7th Floor M/S Unit
• TNCC is required for ER staff
• Florida Education Audit Confirmation applies to RN/LPN staff
• State license verification is required
• Tech certification verification is listed for applicable roles
