• Travel contract
• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or a compact license
• 2+ years of current telemetry experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Must be able to titrate drips
• Must be able to interpret EKGs
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam before starting
• Must pass a simulation lab on day 1 of orientation
• COVID-19 vaccination required, or a declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or a physician

Schedule / Work Expectations

• Frequent floating is required, including between campuses and to other units as needed
• Every other weekend required
• May float to ICU, cardiac telemetry, telemetry, medical-surgical, observation, ER, cath lab, or hallway holding areas depending on skill level
• May be assigned to similar or lower acuity units
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other campus

Unit / Patient Care Details

• Telemetry and medical-surgical float pool
• Centralized telemetry monitoring
• Patients may include post-cath lab, post-vascular procedures, day 2 CABG, neuro post-surgical, post-craniotomy, spine, CVA post-tPA, orthopedic, surgical, oncology, urological, abdominal, Whipple, and women’s surgery patients
• No pediatrics; patients are 15 years and older
• No vents
• No ICP monitoring

• Navy scrubs
• Charge nurse does not take patients
• RT and pharmacy are available 24/7
• IV team is not available
• Orientation includes 2 days on the floor for telemetry units and 2 shifts on the floor for medical-surgical units
