RN Oncology - Pediatrics

Location

• Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• 8-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Oncology experience within the last year
• 1 year of oncology experience
• Pediatric Hematology / Oncology experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS certification from the American Heart Association
• APHON Chemotherapy

Role Overview

• Provides nursing care to hospitalized patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Manages an assigned group of patients
• Documents patient responses and changes in physician orders
• Assists with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Monitors physiological data and intervenes when necessary
• Administers medications, IV infusions, and blood products
• Communicates care plans and discharge information to patients and families
• Makes patient care referrals and delegates tasks to support staff
