Med Surg Nights

Overview

• Contract nursing role in Murphysboro, Illinois.
• Medsurg unit with a blended patient mix that includes Swing Bed and occasional PCU-level patients.
• Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM.
• Schedule includes every other holiday and every other weekend.
• No on-call.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

• Medsurg ratios: 1:5.
• Swing Bed ratios: 1:5-6.
• PCU ratios: 1:3-4, based on whether the patient is on a drip.

Additional Notes

• Supervisors support assignments for nurses whose background is only Medsurg.
• The unit has an engaged team and several committees.
• The facility is ANCC Pathways to Excellence designated.
