Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Fullerton, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

• Position: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
• Acute Care Hospital setting with 320 staffed beds
• On-call requirement: 7 days on call per 2-week pay period (2 nights/week post-shift + 1 weekend every 2 weeks; weekends may exceed every other to meet unit needs)
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs
• Charting system: Meditech
• Free parking available

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1.5 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment in a similar specialty
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
  • BLS (American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with float policy; may be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance
• Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
• Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp) prior to start and annually thereafter
• Epic training transcripts required prior to start and ongoing completion of assigned modules
• Fit mask testing required annually; may be completed onsite if no valid record within 1 year
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
• Background checks include SSN trace, death master index, sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, education verification, motor vehicle record (if applicable), and international background search if applicable
• State-specific background and registry checks as required (e.g., Washington state patrol, OBRA registry for CNAs if applicable)

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab RNs with prior travel contract experience who are comfortable with on-call duties and weekend shifts in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting.
