Ultrasound Tech - General

Overview

Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00–15:30
Schedule: Monday–Friday, alternate weekends, with possible call/standby
Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Details

General diagnostic studies
No vascular except when performed with general studies
No breast (mammo); may perform axilla or breast scan on ED patient, but not full breast scan like performed in mammo
NICU baby head competent
OB first trimester competent
Procedures include thoracentesis, paracentesis, kidney biopsies, and liver biopsies

Required Qualifications

Ultrasound Technologist with 2 years of experience
Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
ARDMS
Familiarity with Trophon High Level Disinfection

Preferred

Familiarity with Trophon High Level Disinfection

Schedule / On-call

Weekend requirement: rotating weekend call, 3 pm to 7 am
On-call required: standby rotation Saturday 1500–0700 and Sunday 1500–0700

Additional Notes

Locals accepted
No floating between like units
RTO must be sent at time of submittal
