Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

Location: Moab, Utah
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 days on, 7 days off (Nights, 6 PM to 6 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

Join a rural medical-surgical nursing team providing direct and indirect patient care across a wide range of patient populations and acuities, including medical, surgical, high acuity, rehabilitative, skilled, pediatric, and post-partum neonates to geriatrics. Opportunities exist to expand skills in post-partum care, infusion, wound therapies, and cross-train in Emergency Department and PACU.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Utah
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience within the last year
Current BLS certification

Skills and Competencies

Knowledge of infection control principles, patient safety techniques, and prevention of adverse medication/treatment reactions
Demonstrated critical thinking skills, especially in rapidly changing situations
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Strong customer service and communication skills (oral, written, and listening)
Professional handling of sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality
Emotional maturity and ability to remain calm and professional under stress
Reliability and punctuality with work schedule
Flexibility and willingness to accept additional duties as assigned
