Overview

Travel/Contract role in Chesapeake, Virginia.
13-week assignment.
Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
Schedule options: 3x12s or 4x12s.
Unit: 6W Med/Surg Tele – Post-Surgical Unit.
High-volume post-surgical unit caring for urology and GYN surgical populations.
Typical patient ratio: 1:7.
Every other weekend, floating, and holidays are required.
Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays.

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Valid RN license in Virginia.
Minimum of two years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience.
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
Driver's License.
Proficiency with Epic EHR system.
EKG competency and rhythm interpretation.
NIH Stroke Certification.

Required Certifications

BLS issued by the American Heart Association.

Preferred

Previous travel experience.
Preferred schedule should be clearly indicated at submission.

Additional Notes

Overtime is paid after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules.
Candidates must be fully pre-closed and comfortable with the patient ratios before submission.
