CV Invasive Specialist

Schedule

• Day shift
• 8 hours per day
• 40 hours per week

Job Summary

• Provides technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Assists physicians with radiological imaging, acts as a scrub assistant, and maintains sterile conditions.
• Operates imaging equipment and monitors/document procedure images and events.
• Provides patient care under RN supervision.
• Educates patients and families about the procedure and expected pre- and post-procedure conditions.
• Helps maintain unit order, cleanliness, stock levels, documentation, and quality/patient safety initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience
• ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS) or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV-specific certification or RCIS or RCES
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Fluoroscopy Certification
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience

• 2 years of Cardiology/Cath Lab experience

Preferred Education

• Associate’s degree
