Schedule

• Night shift, 3x12 hours
• 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday, if needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Clinical Skills

• IV therapy, including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• IV vasopressors
• CPAP/BiPAP
• Ventilator management
• Stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI care
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Adult and pediatric emergency care, including gunshot wounds and ortho trauma
• Isolation precautions
• Triage
• Pediatric spinal cord injury care

Unit Details

• Adult ER
• Patient ratio: 1:5
• Cares for adults, geriatrics, and all emergency-type diagnoses
• Floating required within skillset

Additional Notes

• Requests for time off or special scheduling must be submitted with the application
• The client may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract without incurring charges for canceled hours
• Scrub color: navy blue and white combination
