Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a travel contract position. The role requires working 3 shifts of 12 hours each (Day shift: 07:00-19:30). Weekend shifts may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse license in California
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel assignment
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN certification
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Schedule

Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts (07:00-19:30)
Weekend shifts may be more frequent than every other weekend
Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
Travel pairs will not be considered

Required Documentation & Compliance

Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
Social Security Card (as applicable)
Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
Education verification (nursing degree)
NURSYS license verification required
Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TDAP (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months
Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required prior to start
Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment

Additional Requirements

Must comply with float policy; may be required to float to other nearby facilities within a reasonable distance
Local radius for assignment is 50 miles
Guaranteed hours with the facility having the ability to call off once per pay period (2 weeks)

Large hospital experience preferred
