Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room

Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiovascular Surgery Operating Room (OR Heart Team)
• Shift: Weekday shifts, 7 AM to 5 PM
• Call Requirements: Call may be required; details discussed during interview
• Weekends: No weekend shifts required
• Team Structure:

  • Day Shift: Teams of 3 (2 RNs and 1 CST)
  • Night Shift: Teams of 2 (1 RN and 1 CST)
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment Used: Stryker, GE
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Typical Procedures

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repair
• Valve Replacement
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
• Minimum 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Information

• Candidates without the required skills and experience will not be considered
• May be asked to float to other related units as needed
